The Fountains at Boca Ciega Bay sits on 14 acres of lush, tropically landscaped grounds, where Pelicans fly over deep blue breakers glistening with foam and dolphins cavort in the bay at sunset. The landscape is filled with the brilliant hues of hibiscus and birds of paradise, and palm trees sway in the gentle sea breeze. A short walk will take you down to the water to see if the fish are biting on our private fishing dock. Or you may want to ride across the bay on our pontoon boat for lunch at a local restaurant.
St. Petersburg – or St. Pete, as it is known locally – is just the kind of city so full of interesting things to do that friends and families will love to come for a visit. There's the chidren's museum, Great Explorations, for kids of all ages. Those drawn to cultural venues will want to visit the Museum of Fine Arts, the History Museum, the Holocaust Museum, and the Salvador Dalí Museum, which houses the world's most significant collection of Dalí's paintings.
The downtown area is home to a number of small art galleries and entertainment venues, including The Mahaffey Theater complex, The Coliseum, Palladium Theatre, The Midtown Royal Theater, The Arts Center, and the Florida Craftsmen Gallery, as well as restaurants serving ethnic and domestic culinary specialties. Every Saturday morning, from October to May, the downtown area hosts a farmers market. At BayWalk, also downtown, you'll find an IMAX Muvico 20 screen movie theater, and many chain restaurants and retail shops.
