Wally Shaw, a retired physician, has always had a passion for independent film making. Now that he isn’t nurturing patients, he has more time to nurture his passion. Wally is incredibly active making non-commercial movies to accolades and acclaim from his audiences and film critics alike. He has earned top international awards in nineteen countries including gold and silver medals from Cannes France and the Photographic Society of America.

Whether he’s shooting for his next Cannes Gold or just filming in Center City, Wally is always expressing his true self, as evidenced by the fact that he’s currently busy completing is 93rd, 94th and 95th amateur movies! That’s why at age 88 he is and remains the top ranking American amateur movie maker since 1982.
