Nursing Services

State Licensed Registered Nurses (RN) make comprehensive evaluations to develop the best care plan in coordination with your Physician. Services include

  • Providing ongoing, written nursing assessment
  • Administrating injectable medication
  • Patient teaching in the areas of medication, injectable medication, wound care, urinary catheter care, diabetic management, colostomy management
  • Providing pain control

Services administered by Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) include

  • Administrating injectable medication
  • Patient teaching in the areas of medication, injectable medication, wound care, urinary catheter care, diabetic management, colostomy management
  • Providing pain control

Certified Nursing Assistant Services
Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) receive training through a state approved certified nursing assistant training program, as well as 12 hours of continuing education per year.

CNA services include

  • Dressing (according to needs, ranging from minimal to complete assistance)
  • Bathing (bed baths, tub baths, showers)
  • Feeding (serving meals, assisting in feeding)
  • Toileting (help to the bathroom, assisting with bedpans & urinals, incontinent care)
  • Assisting with range of motion exercise
  • Assisting with transfers and ambulation
  • Monitoring vital signs

Private Companion Care

In addition to the skilled services listed, SafeNet provides a full range of personal care and companionship services, that include the services listed under Certified Nursing Assistant services along with meal preparation, light housekeeping, and errands. All care is provided under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

The minimum shift is 4 hours per visit with availability 7 days per week and 24 hours per day.


Therapy and Rehabilitation Services

SafeNet therapists coordinate and implement treatment plans as ordered by the physician.

Occupational Therapy Services

  • Implementing and instructing in personalized therapeutic exercises to improve skills in activities of daily living, such as dressing, bathing, toileting and eating
  • Creating programs to address visual and spatial deficits
  • Teaching energy conservation measures that will improve endurance
  • Teaching the proper use of adaptive equipment
  • Arranging the home environment to improve safety and increase independence

Physical Therapy
  • Monitoring and assisting with post-operative physical therapy programs
  • Implementing and teaching therapeutic exercises for increased strength and endurance
  • Training in mobility and transfer, including use of walkers, canes, crutches
  • Coordinating Durable Medical Equipment (DME) with your provider
  • Teaching safety and fall prevention
  • Providing pulmonary/cardiac rehabilitation services

Speech Therapy Services
  • Creating and implementing comprehensive treatment plans that include motor planning, oral motor strengthening, cognitive training, memory skills, and adaptive communication
  • Implementing strategies to improve swallow safety, exercises and compensatory techniques to optimize swallow function

Social Services

Certified Social Workers (MSWs) makes comprehensive evaluations to determine specific social needs. Services include
  • Providing emotional support and creating strategies to mitigate difficulties arising from illness
  • Providing information on community resources, financial assistance, fiduciary services and power of attorney services among others
  • Providing financial consultations, including application for financial aid
  • Assisting in the identification of long term care needs

Registered Dietician

Coordinating with your physician to determine your specific nutritional requirements, a Registered Dietician will partner with you to evaluate your nutrition to develop and implement a nutrition program, and evaluate your progress. As needed the Dietician will help you with your shopping list and the preparation of your meals.
