As a child growing up in Mount Prospect, Illinois, you could always find me in the kitchen making cookies or grilled cheese. I loved cooking so much I went to Johnson and Wales University to become a professional chef.
My career started with Marriott. I worked my way from the stovetop up the management ladder. From making sauces, I moved into a supervisory role and then into management. While with Marriott, we cooked for Senators, Congressmen, Princes, Princesses, Jeff Foxworthy, Eddie Money and The Pointer Sisters, to name just a few distinguished guests. Working at the Washington DC Convention Center, we once served 17,000 people, a Guinness World Record! There, I had the privilege to prepare food the President of the United States, the First Lady, as well as for 6 out of 11 inaugural balls.
Today, I am very pleased to be a part of Watermark and The Fountains at Washington House, where I consider every resident and visitor to be as distinguished as anyone I have ever served.
