Local cuisine
Although the DC area is certainly known for its fine dining establishments, the area is also home to some of the liveliest farmers' markets in the North East. Many local farmers and ranchers bring their fresh produce, cheese, eggs, meat and flowers to these markets. Needless to say, a day of touring these delightful treasures is a day well spent.
