The Freshwater Group andWatermark Retirement Communities germinated from the same seed company, The Fountains. Before its sale in July 2005, the company reigned for many consecutive years as one of the seniors’ housing industry’s top 25 owner/operators. With many of the same core leaders at the helm today, these two distinct companies continue to share office space in The Fountains former headquarters in Tucson, building on the traditions they started together in 1987.
