The Watermark at 3030 Park Is Home to Many Random Acts of Kindness

February 11 2019
The sweetness of Valentine’s Day candies and flowers on February 14th is included in National Random Acts of Kindness week, which begins today, on February 11th, and ends on Random Acts of Kindness Day, February 17th. The phrase “random acts of kindness” is said to have begun in a cafe in California, in 1982 with these words written on a placemat: “practice random acts of kindness and senseless acts of beauty.” The idea spread and went national. At The Watermark At 3030 Park, we honor kindness all year by encouraging the friendships that sustain our residents and our associates. Our community offers small and large group activities that foster connections. We have Tea and Chat on Saturdays, the Book Club, the Writer’s Club, the Everyone Has a Story group, and Watermark University classes. Don’t forget Happy Hour on Friday and Saturday evenings in the W Lounge! The Fitness Center offers opportunities at all levels of ability to join in healthy, fun activities. Examples are stretch and balance, yoga, water aerobics and fun fitness group competitions. A wonderful mental exercise this month would be to think of every act of kindness that has touched your life or the life of someone you know.
