Situated across Lake Washington from Seattle, Bellevue offers beautiful mountain, water, and city views, along with a vibrant downtown. Shopping at Bellevue Square is a favorite pastime, as is taking a hike in the nearby Cascade Mountain trails, kayaking or sailing on one of the three area lakes, and wine tasting in nearby Woodinville. Head across the bridge into Seattle, and buy fresh fish and fragrant flowers at the Pike Place Market, where you can also visit the original Starbucks.
