Despite the heart-wrenching loss of her mother at a young age, Devin exhibited an unyielding determination. Even during her high school junior year, Devin’s educators and coaches recognized her potential as a natural leader. Not only was she taking college-level nursing classes, but she also harbored a curiosity to explore beyond her known boundaries. Although Devin had never traveled, her dream to join classmates on a school-sponsored European trip became a reality. Watermark for Kids and The Fountains at Crystal Lake played a pivotal role in helping Devin by selling raffle tickets so she could participate in new cultural experiences and support her dream of a career in nursing and leadership.
