Watermark for Kids sponsored a life-changing journey for 9-year-old James from Texas. James was diagnosed with autism at age two and requires assistance with everyday activities due to medical complications and skill delays. This trip was a two-week intensive therapy program at The Melillo Center for Developing Minds in New York. The costly treatment uses the Melillo Method™, which includes twice-daily office visits five days a week, occupational therapy, neurological care, laser treatment, and more. During his time in New York, the Watermark at Brooklyn Heights hosted an ice cream social in James' honor. His family had the opportunity to meet residents and share details about the profound impact this treatment had.
