Despite his limited physical and communicative abilities, Matthew uses various methods, such as blinking and electronic communication, showcasing his unwavering spirit. As he was approaching 21, vital insurance coverage would run out. After hearing about Matthew's immediate need for support, Watermark for Kids teamed up with The Fountains at Boca Ciega Bay to gift Matthew a Scout II Pool Lift chair during a special Christmas event. This essential device offers therapeutic benefits and freedom in aqua therapy. Residents were so touched by his story that they sold cards to raise funds for the installation.
