Daphney, age 71
I'm 71 years of age and being at this, I feel so happy and see the Grace of God upon my life. As it is said, that if you are still alive beyond 71 years, it's a bonus. I am still able to do my daily chores. I keep my health by eating healthy foods like fruits and vegetables. I have a big vegetable garden from which I donate food to the preschool and the elderly. I'm at a relaxed age where all of my children are grown up and I enjoy spending time with my grandchildren. I'm at peace with everything, and with myself. I still have more creative ideas that I can impart to others.
12 years ago, Daphney had a huge stroke and the doctors said she would never speak or walk again. She not only did both but returned to her job as the principal of a primary school for her last year before retirement. She has a preschool and primary school up to grade 5 that is in the inner "city" of Acornhoek, so that young mothers can drop their children off and finish high school.
