Moving to a senior living community is one of the biggest decisions you’re going to make in your life. While the size of the undertaking puts off some, Jill knows from experience that it’s worth the effort because your apartment comes with an extended family that includes all the people who work at the community, all the people who live there and their families, too. In addition, you’re gaining a lifestyle that helps you live your best life, doing what you enjoy, learning new things and deriving mutual benefits from vital human bonds.
When the pandemic struck in 2020, Jill’s relationships with residents and families grew even closer. She shared her smartphone so families could FaceTime, helped people celebrate milestones, and cheered people up if they were feeling down. Together with her Watermark teammates, Jill made sure everyone’s pantries were stocked, meals were being enjoyed and social connections were continuing, uninterrupted and safely.
While media shone a floodlight into the darkest news corners, Jill personally witnessed senior living in its best light. Through her own eyes, she saw the pandemic bring people together, bonded by love and caring.
