Overview

Why is Legacy at Grande’Vie closing?

Like many other businesses, the Legacy at Grande’Vie has faced ongoing financial challenges and requires significant investment in the building. Unfortunately, the financial prospects of continuing as a senior living community could not be sustained.

When is Legacy at Grande’Vie closing?

Closing of the community will occur in two phases based on residential agreements.

  • Assisted Living and Memory Care relocations will be ongoing and we will be working with every resident to facilitate resident moves.
  • Independent Living residents are being provided a 30-day notice per the terms of the Residency Agreement, with an anticipated closing on or about August 31, 2025.
What will happen to the community after closing?

No determination has been made for the future of the building.

What will happen to the residents and associates after closing?

The Grande’Vie community team is working together with residents, families and associates to navigate a smooth transition. We are providing residents and families with options for senior living communities in the area, as well as inviting representatives from local senior living communities to Legacy at Grande’Vie for onsite presentations. Associates will also be provided with information on local senior living communities to assist them in seeking new employment.

Watermark’s extensive and qualified network of resources will ensure our community operations continue smoothly and assist our community team in delivering high quality service to residents.
