Love Marches On

Residents are celebrating Pride month in a parade.

Legacy at Clover Blossom was the heart of our story, “Filled with Pride: How LGBTQ+ Pioneers Continue To Inspire Change” in the 2024 Spring/Summer edition. Michaela, Legacy at Clover Blossom’s sales director, shared how inclusive programming has made a positive impact that extends beyond the community. In an interview with WHAM, Michaela spoke about how teaching residents about the meaning of Pride and inclusion can make them feel included as well.

“I think there's something to say about the generational experiences, ... seniors do sometimes feel left out or not knowing of certain things. To understand their grandkids better and ... be a supportive ally, just learning in this room what that means, and then being able to showcase it in their own families, I think that's a huge stride forward.”

What’s Next

This summer, the community is celebrating with a vibrant lineup of events – including a Pride kickoff party, a guest speaker series covering a variety of LGBTQ+ topics, and their third consecutive year marching in the Rochester Pride Parade.
