Just two years ago, 77-year-old Jim Broncatello — a former principal, wrestling coach, and Hall of Fame referee — lay in a coma, fighting for his life. After surviving sepsis, a heart attack, and three strokes, he nearly lost all mobility. From leading teams to being unable to move, his world had gone quiet.
That changed the day he joined a boxing class at his Watermark community. Led by 22-year-old amateur boxer Nick Dome, the class was meant to be light exercise. Instead, it sparked a comeback.
Nick saw the same transformation from his corner. “I thought I’d be teaching basic punches,” he says. “But what I’m really teaching is belief. Whether you’re 25 or 95, movement changes everything. It builds confidence, lifts your mood, and gives you something to look forward to.”
Today, Jim walks unassisted, lifts weights, and throws six-punch combinations with purpose. But his real victory is joy — the confidence and camaraderie that come from doing what once seemed impossible.
At Watermark, moments like these happen every day. Clubs and classes grow from residents’ passions, turning movement into connection and purpose. Here, wellness isn’t about keeping score. It’s about staying active, engaged, and confident — in a community that supports growth, leadership, and enjoying life on your own terms.

Caring, attentive staff. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for quality senior care!
I toured this place with my mother and was so blown away, I hope to retire here myself.
All I can say is ... it's amazing!! Everything about this community is spot on, they've thought of everything!
