A recent story from Rochester First highlighted the vibrant and inclusive spirit of Legacy at Clover Blossom, where residents and guests gathered to mark LGBTQ+ Pride Month with learning, celebration, and community connection.
As part of the community’s inaugural Impactful Speaker Series, a representative from Governor Kathy Hochul’s office visited to deliver New York State’s official proclamation recognizing June as Pride Month. The event was one of several engaging programs designed to educate and inspire dialogue about LGBTQ+ history, identity, and advocacy.
Throughout the month, Legacy at Clover Blossom hosted a variety of activities, including a Pride Month Kick-Off Party, Drag Queen Bingo featuring Mrs. Kasha Davis and Aggy Dune, and an open Q&A session, “Ask Us Anything LGBTQ+ Related,” led by Scott Fearing and Jeannie Gainsburg.
Sales Director Michaela Bleier shared that the programming has covered topics ranging from pronouns to the history of LGBTQ+ communities. Bleier said, “It’s really exciting to see the way that it’s growing.”
The celebration will wrap up with residents and associates decorating a float to participate in the 2025 Rochester Pride Parade, scheduled for July 19.
