The Fountains at La Cholla residents recently visited the Arizona State Museum, which was founded in 1893 as one of the University of Arizona’s original research units. The museum is the oldest and largest anthropological research museum in the U.S. Southwest, as it houses expansive collections that are exceptional resources for the teaching, study, and understanding of the region’s 13,000-year human history. During our docent tour, we learned about the lifestyles of the Native cultures of the Southwest and admired the intricate craftsmanship of Native baskets and fiber art. Our museum visit proved to be a wonderful learning experience for all!
