A powerful and deeply moving traveling exhibit titled "Feeling Our Age" is currently on display at Watermark Laguna Niguel, as recently featured in the Orange County Register. Created by artist Kathleen Curtis Cosgrove, the exhibit features portraits and essays from women aged 60 and older who share honest, humorous, and heartfelt reflections on aging, identity, and purpose.
Hosted in the community through the end of June, the exhibit invites residents and guests to explore the lived experiences of 60 extraordinary women — nurses, teachers, activists, entrepreneurs, artists, and more — through abstract-style portraits paired with personal writings. Their words tackle themes of invisibility, empowerment, grief, gratitude, and the joy of embracing life fully at every stage.
The show has sparked conversation and connection among viewers at Watermark Laguna Niguel, where Cosgrove also led a special discussion with residents as part of the exhibit programming.
“At Watermark, we see aging as renewal, purpose, and connection,” said Sundeep Jeste, executive director of Watermark Laguna Niguel. “This exhibition reflects our mission to honor every story and challenge aging stereotypes.”
Feeling Our Age is open to the public at Watermark Laguna Niguel through June 2025 before continuing its tour to other Watermark communities nationwide.
