The Hacienda at the River offers three levels of service and care, including Independent Living, Assisted Living for daily personal care support, and Memory Care for dementia. 

A buy-in fee is typically charged by large campus senior living communities to guarantee long-term care access and can be $100,000 or more. Instead, The Hacienda at the River charges a one-time Membership Fee, which is a smaller charge. Contact us for a personalized cost breakdown.

Tours at The Hacienda at the River can often be scheduled within 24-48 hours, depending on availability. We offer virtual and in-person options. Call 520-485-1060 or use our online form to book. 

Independent living typically includes a private residence with a kitchen or kitchenette, laundry, housekeeping, and access to a variety of community amenities and services like dining, fitness, wellness, transportation, and social get-togethers. At The Hacienda at the River, all of this is just the start of our Independent Living experience in Tucson.

Members in our Independent Living community enjoy a flex spending credit, which is included in their monthly rent. Members can use this credit for meals, spa services, salon treatments, and private fitness training. Additionally, all members receive a 20% discount on menu pricing.

Yes, our Independent Living residences are located at the southeast corner of the intersection of River Road and Hacienda Del Sol Road. Members of Independent Living who require Assisted Living care have priority access to that part of the community.

Independent Living at The Hacienda at the River offers a private residence, amenities, and hospitality-style services, including dining, transportation, housekeeping, and social programs. Assisted Living offers all of these amenities and services, plus a personalized care program for assistance with activities of daily living like dressing, bathing, grooming, and medication management. Both levels of care are offered here at The Hacienda at the River.

At The Hacienda at the River, we offer nutritious, chef-prepared meals with accommodations for dietary needs, plus bistro snacks and in-room dining for comfort. Residents can enjoy casual and more formal dining options in our senior living community.

Yes, we provide scheduled transportation for medical appointments, shopping, and outings around Tucson 

The Hacienda at the River is close to Banner – University Medical Center, for easy access to local health care services. Other area hospitals are Northwest Medical Center and Tucson Medical Center. We also have specialized services that can be delivered to you in your home here at The Hacienda at the River.

The minimum age is 62 for our Independent Living community. Assisted Living and Memory Care neighborhoods do not have a minimum age requirement.

The Hacienda at the River features a therapy pool designed for group and individual aquatic classes. The pool is open for regular use from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with after-hours availability upon request.

Yes, visitors can park in front of both community buildings for convenient access.

We have a wide array of on-site amenities, including a dedicated fitness space, a spa, and even a salon. Programs through Watermark University provide endless opportunities to learn new skills or share your knowledge while Extraordinary Outings allow residents to enjoy the best of Southern Arizona.

  • Assisted Living and Memory Care: Visiting hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., seven days a week. Exceptions can be made if needed.
  • Guests: All guests must check in at the concierge desk.
  • Concierge: Available 24/7 for assistance.
  • Business Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • Tours: Available Monday through Friday, with weekend tours upon request. Reservations are preferred.
