A member of The Hacienda Mission San Luis Rey was recently featured in an article published by the San Diego Veterans Magazine for the important way he helps others heal from past traumas.
U.S. Air Force Veteran and Franciscan priest Ed McKenzie organizes retreats for veterans to unite and share their feelings, regardless of their faith. Through open discussions, Ed explained that veterans are able to connect with others who share similar experiences, with many opening up about their pasts for the first time.
“I have witnessed life-changing results and heard from many who have said how wonderful this retreat was for them!” he said. “These people are why I do what I do.”
